Dot Pad X has been named the winner of the Best Digital Health Solution category at the inaugural Prix Galien Korea Awards.
The award was announced at the Prix Galien Korea Awards ceremony in Seoul on 10 September 2026. Dot Pad X was one of seven nominees in the Best Digital Health Solution category and was selected as the winner by the Prix Galien Korea awards committee.
Our co-founders and CEOs, Eric Ju Yoon Kim and Ki Kwang Sung, attended the ceremony in person and were honoured to receive the award on behalf of Dot Inc.
Recognising innovation in digital health
Established in France in 1970, the Prix Galien recognises innovation in life sciences and healthcare. The inaugural Prix Galien Korea Awards recognised innovations across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technology, digital health and startup categories.
The Best Digital Health Solution category recognises innovation in digital technologies that can contribute to improving health and wellbeing.
For Dot Inc., the award recognises the work behind Dot Pad X and its ability to make digital information accessible through refreshable braille and tactile graphics.
Making digital information accessible through touch
Eric Ju Yoon Kim and Ki Kwang Sung founded Dot Inc. in 2015 with a vision of making digital information more accessible.
Today, Dot Pad X combines refreshable braille and tactile graphics in a portable device. It enables people who are blind or partially sighted to explore digital information such as graphs, diagrams, maps and other visual content independently.
By converting digital information into tactile formats, Dot Pad X provides access to information that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to experience through touch.
Looking ahead
Winning the Best Digital Health Solution award at the inaugural Prix Galien Korea Awards is an important recognition for the Dot Inc. team and everyone who has contributed to the development of Dot Pad X.
