Dot Canvas is now available on Android, bringing Dot’s tactile technology experience to even more users around the world.
Dot Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Dot Canvas for Android, expanding access to Dot Pad and tactile content across a wider range of devices and users.
Available through Google Play in 177 countries, Dot Canvas for Android makes it easier for users to connect with Dot Pad and interact with tactile content using compatible Android devices.

Dot Canvas supports 18 languages for the app interface, with the app automatically following the language set on the user's Android device.
For braille translation, Dot Canvas supports 32 languages, which can be selected directly within the app's Settings. Support includes languages such as English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian and Welsh.
Selected languages also support both Grade 1 and Grade 2 braille, giving users greater flexibility in how they read and interact with content.
For Simplified Chinese, Dot Canvas also supports three input methods: Xianxing with tone, Xianxing without tone, and Shuang Pin.
Dot Canvas for Android supports devices running Android 8.0 and later, with support across a broad range of Android hardware architectures.
The app is designed for tablets and larger screens, with an 8-inch or larger display and 4GB or more RAM recommended for the best experience. Dot Canvas is designed landscape-first, with landscape use recommended for the most optimized experience.
Dot Pad connects to Android devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), supporting one connected Dot Pad at a time.
The Android release complements the existing Dot ecosystem, giving users more flexibility in how they access and interact with tactile content.
With Dot Canvas now available across both iOS and Android, Dot continues to make tactile technology more accessible across platforms and around the world.
